Classics Reborn

Geezus. I thought yesterday's article about how they should have taken the first resignation letter as a joke was funny, but this guy knows now boundaries when it comes to crying.

I don't really blame Priest for protecting their IP, even if it is a bit of a shitty thing to do and is not worse than many other bands have done. However for me several things don't add up. Firstly KK's a whinger and will do anything for attention or to make his former band look bad. The other thing that doesn't add up is why JP would do this now when KK"s band is not likely to create much of an issue for them and there is so many other bands out there using the name Priest. I guess it all could be happening, I just don't see it happening the way a known liar is explaining it.

He goes from talking about the name to . They're trying to stop me from making a band. No, just the name. It may not even have been them. It might just be management doing their thing. Send out a simple cease and desist. Maybe he'll fold easy. Otherwise, whatever.
Or it could be them and I'd still understand it. Seams like there is nothing this guy won't spill. Trying every way he can to split the fanbase.
Meanwhile Priest continues to take the high road. It's funny how (for the most part) even his biggest supporters on Blabber are sick of his mouth now. Or at the least not defending him anymore.

I'm willing to bet the whole thing about the name is in his head and didn't really happen :)
Yeah there has definitely been a turn in the comments on Blabber. That one love child of his never comments now, but most people are telling it like it is now. I think you're right about splitting the fan base. There is plenty of people saying they'd like to listen to both bands but KK really doesn't seem to want people liking anyone but him. How he expects people will move over to him while he's crying so loudly is beyond me.

There is rumours floating around that we could have a new Iron Maiden album on July 15. Word first came out a while ago when their producer, well the guy they used a few times, said he was working on a 'secret' project. Then Bruce was spotted in the same resort location as the producers studio or something and then things went quite. Since then a few of the guys have hinted at recording but confirmed nothing. But apparently a gig/venue poster has surfaced with the letters IMXVII on it for July 15. I'm not entirely sure of the connection between the two but apparently it's enough to have people assume that it's Iron Maiden's 17th studio album coming on July 15.

With no news at all about the songs or anything on it it will be a really cool surprise. However the 15th is not a Friday so it's not an official release day. I realise they don't have to do it on Friday's but it does make me wonder if it's only news about an album and not an actual album.

Locally it can be any day but generally major label shit comes out on Friday. Sites like that getmetal site often get stuff on a Thursday which means it's leaked from somewhere but the stores generally aren't suppose to sell it until after midnight Thursday night.

Wow it's actually official and has a name.

Happy 4th of July guys!

Apparently it's not Maiden, it's a song called Redemption by a band called Black Phantom.

That being said I have noticed a lot of YT videos claiming to be Iron Maiden albums popping up. Some actually state they are just fan compilations with new artwork but there are quite a few that are trying to be passed off as actual Maiden albums.
