Classics Reborn

Lemmy was skinnier then than he was when he got sick!
That Bomber lighting rig seen in the clip was gifted by Lemmy to Aussie band Airbourne, not sure if they are still using it but pre-pandemic they were.
Bit sad that the three at the end, Lemmy, Philty and Wurzel are dead now, but I guess it has to happen eventually.

Yeah he was much thinner than I thought. In some of that it looked like he had almost no muscle left.

Seems that if metal musos aren't ugly enough the 80's was all about making yourself uglier :)

I wonder if anyone still wears an Andrew Dice Clay t-shirt these days.

I don't even know what Clay looks like now, I think I remember seeing him a while back and he looked like he'd had a few doses of botox. I remember liking the movie Ford Fairlane but I don't think I can remember anything else he was in.

No me either. Someone told me he's in something new (with other people) but I can't remember what it is. Yeah Ford Fairlane was okay, at least back in the day. I think he had another movie but I've also forgotten what it was.

Ford Fairlane wouldn't be half as good today with the same jokes, but then it probably couldn't be re-written either. He was also in BrainSmasher with Teri Hatcher, which was really only worthy of a mention because Teri Hatcher was pervable :)

I don't remember that one lol. But Teri Hatcher was pretty hot at one time.

I know Clay did stand up but that was in a time of dial up internet here so only the most dedicated fans watched it. I only remember him from those two movies. One he plays a Rock N Roll detective with silly lines and not a great story. The other he plays a macho bodyguard with shitty lines, a shitty story where he falls in love with the chick he's protecting and a pair of tits

They remind of Anthrax the way they run around.

They all look a bit different now. Not sure if that's a good thing or not :)
I think there was a lot of Anthrax type behaviour around that time, who invented it, who started it, I don't know but some of these guys were unsigned with little more than a few demos all playing the same stages. Anthrax did get lucky where as some of the others took a bit longer but I think the fact that there was more than just Anthrax makes it hard to make statements like we saw the other day when Blabber used the term "originators of the thrash/groove".

What's with the voice at the end of all those videos saying 'no one's seen this for 100 years', is that part of where the videos came from?
