Classics Reborn

I get the impression Dee wanted to prove he was still able to release something viable in today's market so he made it happen. There was a story a week or so back where he came out saying he wrote none of the songs. Well I wasn't overly surprised at that, but it felt like he was coming out and breaking the news so some half arsed journo didn't try and scoop the news cycle with reports of him being a fake. It just kind of had that feel too it. I'm not sure if I'll get the album, it kind of seems like it's a lot of promo and not a lot of substance, although if that new song was the first released I reckon I would have been more excited to hear the whole album.

I remember being a stamp collector when I was about 5 but that hobby quickly disappeared, and I'm not really one for collectables (and these probably won't be) but I might have to get myself some none the less just because they are AC/DC. I think Noise11 fucked up with their comments about the Aust Post fucking up, but it's good for publicity to openly bag something with only half the information I suppose.

They don't look too bad for a cheap collection of something that may increase in value to $30 one day :) Pity about the aussie map on the left hand side, they could have done that bit better.

Aust Post is a government department and in this day and age of PC gone fucking stupid they wouldn't risk using the Dirty Deeds cover with Angus smoking and offering the two finger salute. They've done similar before and the shit the copped saw them remove the stamps in question.

High voltage has a dog pissing on a high voltage power transformer. So again PC rules in a government department

'74 Jailbreak was a 1984 EP of previously released material released to the US market. It has to be an American cover because it wasn't released here.

Noise11, who Bravewords picked up, are the ones who fucked up and proved that research means less than making a good headline.

I agree censorship is bullshit and it was good enough once for those covers to be displayed in shops and newspapers etc but sadly government bureaucracy wont ever be changed. I find it amazing just how scared governments are of such publicity, it would be a storm in a teacup for a few days, maybe a week then die off, but some wanker in a suit says no, no, no. They should take their lead from Hollywood where coming out as doing something wrong is only bad until your PR team catches up and manages to spin it in a positive manner.

All I can say is thankfully these stamps wont cause enough of a ripple in the news world that the Prime Minister gets asked about them. He keeps trying to show how down with the public the rich man with all of Daddy's money is and how he can relate with the common person by appearing at concerts and sporting events yet when he's asked who's playing or name a song the fuckwit had no clue and it's just embarrassing.
