I love the way that a band/muso can't ever be right about their own shit.
Scott said "The main thing people maybe don't recognize, especially people who aren't musicians or in bands, it's a lot to do with camaraderie and how you get along with people. There's a million guys who can play guitars, drums and bass, but it's having a camaraderie."
Putting aside any talent, or even lack of talent if one must suggest it, the guy says they went for camaraderie yet nearly every commentor on Blabber can name another guitarist that would have been, cheaper, better, or both. I can understand camaraderie when you have to spend so many hours in a bus, plane, or a stage with someone as these guys would, but fuck you Scott you are a dickhead that doesn't know what the fuck is good for the band!
Stupid idiots should have brought Carlos Santana into the band, he can play a guitar!

Yeah it's funny too see how people react. I know the internet generation love to hate and it doesn't matter what the topic is but the way they can ignore what someone (in this case Scott) said and come up with a whole bunch of solutions to a problem that doesn't exist is a skill all of their own.

I love the idea that someone suggested they should get Zakk Wylde. Makes no difference if he was busy, if he was not a fan, if he could even play the songs but Zakk would be better option and they should have asked a dead shit on an website his thoughts before hiring someone they knew and worked well with.

I don't think I'd go as far as KK and say it was a good question, it was definitely different and saved him being a complete dick but given Freddie only went through a stage were he was the leather clad biker and Rob's been doing it for 40+ years I think there is a good reason Rob did it better.

Lol I like the archetypal metal band comment. First of all the look is stupid as fuck. I never saw many bands looking like Priest. Watching old 80's movies that did try and have people look like they were metal fans. The people looked ridiculous. And frankly I always put Priest on the more Hard Rock side of things versus Metal. They have stuff here and there that's Metal. but to me it's mostly commercial Hard rock until Painkiller. And if they had succeeded with the disco thing, they would have changed to disco. they are a huge follow the trend band. I don't think they had a real full on metal feel until and after 1990.
Thank god for Thrash. The genre that really lets the music do the talking. Jeans T-shirt and sneakers. Maybe a leather jacket. That's it.
I'm sure there are plenty who don't see it that way and that's cool. I'm fine with it. But from my era, that's the way it is.
sorry for the rant. I'm just sick of this guy taking credit for everything and acting like it's gold.
