From what I remember reading his KISS solo album sold better than the other three and Speeding Back To My Baby and New York Groove were kind of rocking little songs, but I don't know that anything he was released since as been that memorable. Maybe he's a good player and he can play that lump of wood but there is no way he is or ever was as brilliant as he suggests he was.

I just thought he was good compared to the other guys in Kiss. I'm only vaguely familiar with his solo stuff. But that new song is laughable.

I think Ace suffered because of the alcohol and drugs that made him think he was something he wasn't. His hiatus as a solo artist while he was in rehab and the like seemed to make him bitter. I don't think he's a bad player but his mouth has be writing his cheques his arse can't cash pretty much since he left KISS and it didn't help when they didn't invite him back after the 99 reunion tour.

It's like he tried to be Kiss with the music and tried to be Vince Neil with the lyrics, and both failed.

Maybe Ace can take up the role of singer in Skid Row, chances are Zippy Boy wont last long since they talk him up so much.
