Hi yall'!

Finally done with this piece of song and were very happy with it.

This is sorta a forum-collaboration, as Gareth (TheXRatedDodo) did the vocals and the lyrics. I must say, he did a damn good job! :) (it started here )

Some info:
Worked on the mix for quite a while,
Guitars are as usual quadtracked 5150 into Line6 Valve Cab, miced with a SM57.
Drums are S2.0, cymbals are AD and I've used some samples I've found from time till' time.
Bass is WarpVst.
Ask if theres anything you'd like to know.

Gareth sounds like a beast, especially for that age! Wow.. great job :)

Jonas, the mix is fucking tight man, I love the guitars. The bass seems to be very "light" somehow, not overpowering in the lows and it really fits the style. The drums I could argue a bit against, but not against your style... I think it fits like a glove!

Basically, well fucking done :)

GubbKuK has always been disgustingly good with guitar tones... and now he's become good enough for everything else. This sounds pretty pro :)

I remember when he blew people away on a swedish studio forum, when he made a cover of some In Flames song with Wagner Sharp and impulses. That was just crazy even back then, which was like only a year ago or something, right GubbKuK?
 
WOW. just had to comment and say how impressive this song is. I really like the vocals alot and the guitar work. Drums not too crazy about the sound.... but it works.

AWESOME!

Easily one of the best mixes I have heard on this forum. Would you mind sharing any of the mastering processes you took (if you did any)?
 
Thank yall'! The drums is a matter of taste I think. Even tho I agree that it could use some more attack on the kick, maybe I'll fix it later on, will see. :)

Used ts7 and red channel on the 100% panned. Used no ts and green channel on the 85% panned. Miced towards the edge of the cone.
