yeah, i noticed there's another thread on this song but this one's kinda defferent so don't shoot.

after listening to the album 4 times, closer is deffo the winner. amazing song, i fuckin' adore it. the thing is that it's a more experimental song, for anathema at least, and i 'm curious to know how you feel about it and whether or not you'd like more stuff like this later on in the future. that is of course if the band wishes to write more songs like this.

yeah, i know. don't be a ballbreaker now, just answer the thing. i'll buy the album day one.

its a good song (not the fave for me), shit... a REALLY GREAT SONG!! but I think it shouldnt be repeated (the vocoder thing) in the future....

for me is a normal song, I have only "are you there" and "closer" and the rest in pieces, the 2 min. of "flying" I have, are my favorite until now. :Spin:

am not into distorted vocals, so I would had liked more without vocals, the video fragment showed sometime ago was really great :erk: , I am bit dissapointed with the final result :ill: , perhaps with the album in my hands should change :Smug:

the thing is that each time i listen to the song i realize that if the vocals were normal i really doubt it would sound so special to my ears. the atmosphere would be completely different. anyways, i hope they'll play it live and all. you can headbang with a dying wish if you want. :p

the problem is that it is a classic... people are talking about it all the time, when it shouldnt get too much attention :Spin:

nothing is wrong with a dying wish. it's a fine song. i'm just sayin for those who just want heavy songs on gigs so they can go up and down all the time.

the thing about Closer is, that the music minus the vocals is not too dissimilar to Judgement material. i do like the vocals, they remind me of Air and Daft Punk. though I wouldn't like more songs like it, one is enough. Vinny has a great voice, he doesn't need effects.
