I like goregrind and it seems you don't, so obviously I'm going to enjoy it and you will not. Humanure at least, is damned good.

I like goregrind and I think Cattle Decapitation sucks ass. Nu-metal disguised as goregrind if you ask me.

I hate them both. Goregrind has never appealed to me. I prefer my music to actually have a melody.

As for the article. it was somewhat...uninformed. They made it sound like metal was some sort of child reaching adolescence. Though it was unbiased to some extent, I got the impression that they were looking down on it instead of approaching it as a genuine form of music.

Cattle Decapitated are down right awful. The people that checked them out after reading that thinking they might have a different perception on metal still think it suck now.

I can't stand when the wrong bands always get mentioned in news. every single time it happens. CD music is not intelligent. I have not red their lyrics but based on the song titles and image doubt they are good.

I hate goregrind except older carcass which is musically tasteful.

From the interview it was hinting as say LoG being more intelligent than sabbath hhaha. LoG's music is not intelligent and they drop f bombs in their lyrics.

Agreed. The mainstream media feeds crappy metal bands to the public and are perpetuating the stereotype that metal has no integrity. Cattle Decapitation is a horrid band with laughably outspoken lyrics. Their ideals are incredibly misled. I hate bands with a political message.

no rythym. no melody. sounds like shit.

just my opinion.

i hate goregrind, period.

Listen to Carcass 'necroticism'. Great riffs and solos.

I notice metallica being in your sig and this cd while being gore grind/death metal still has traditional metal values when it comes to playing. Carcass are talented group. The bands melodic death metal follow up 'heartwork' has incredible solos so if you like metallica you would probably like these.

i have never listened to carcass and i have heard good things about them, even from non-goregind fans. if they actually have good riffs and solos, then they must be better than regular goregrind.

Necroticism is death metal their first 2 were goregrind.

Necroticism has some of the grind parts like on symphonies of sickness and symphonies of sickness has some of the more slower death metal parts like on Necroticism. The difference is Necroticism is more death metal rooted musically and song structure wise. Necroticism could be grind/death.

Another example of this is would be Napalm Death 'harmony corroption'. Not full on grind like the bands first couple release but not pure death metal. Kinda like floating in between. For these bands this is almost like a crossover stage until they get to the next stage of being a pure genre.

There's definitely still some grind influence in Necroticism but I'd definitely call it death metal over grind. Grind generally has no technicality which Necroticism has a lot of.

What about individual songs? I think I can agree with a notceable dislike of bands formed primarily due to politics (instead of music or the like), but can you stand the odd politically motivated track by good bands?

Well Carcass was the first grindcore band with gore lyrics. I don't really listen to grind but they have to have strong significance. I have heard impaled and exhumed who sound heavily influenced by carcass.
