In my opinion, it's Melodic Death Metal combined with Power Metal.

But the different albums represent different genres.

I'd agree.

Something Wild sounds almost melodic black metal and it kinda spans from there on in.

It's pretty useless to give them a genre. I think it's accepted they usually come under the 'Big 5' Melodic Death Bands along with Kalmah, Norther, Imperanon and Wintersun.

Usually when i had to tell what kind of music they played i was like : "its a metal band...., a heavy metal kind of band...., its very speed, you know." But then i realize they dont understand a single word and im like : "ok, its just a bunch of guys making a lot of noise with their guitars"
Anyway, I suck so much at saying what kind of metal a band plays.
