What are the ones on the left called?

uh.. don't know but i think they cost the same as the jazz 3 ,though these picks were 'presents' from my guitar teacher

Here you go, snowy: http://www.zzounds.com/item--DNP41812 That should tell you what thickness the different colors are. I think dunlop tortexes are great picks; I used to use the blue and purple ones. The reason I switched to Jazz III's though was simply because the Tortexes were not nearly sharp enough--making it hard for me to pick fast and it gave me a muffled tone with the dull edge.

what kind of material are they made of? I hate the plasticy feel of the jazz 3s.
