After not being sure whether I was actually going to get into this gig despite knowing about it from early on and it being on my doorstep I finally got the call I'd been waiting for. There was to be no support act and 9:30pm had been given to me as a rough onstage time, on approaching the venue I could hear them starting "Antisocial" and got in just in time to start things with one of my favourite tracks, unfortunately I'd missed 4 songs as it had all kicked off at 9 but still.. I was in. :) It was amazing watching them crank out the classics with stained glass windows behind them, they all played a great show and Dan especially stood out tonight with some nice lead work along with Joey who really knew how to work the crowd, he's clearly excited at the prospect of making this line up a more permanent fixture by highlighting the amount of new (first time) fans in attence, the guitars as is often the case at this venue were not really loud enough but you can't have everything and after all.. one of my favourite bands of all time had somehow ended up playing an awesome set in the most unlikely setting of a church in Englands oldest recorded town. It was an honour. Apparently they are coming back to the UK in a few months for a full tour.

I had never been to this venue before but with the stained glass behind the band it was unique. The show itself was great if a tad short with Dans lead work excellent and Joeys voice being spot on, if people think Joey can't sing well they are totally mistaken. To see one of my fave bands of all time in such a small venue was superb and the crowd seemed well up for it. Thanks to Anthrax for such a great night.

I want to point out something amusing about that show it took place in a church but when they went to play A new level Scotts Southern Cross didn't work

great show, reminded me of the days when i had long hair, tight jeans and was 4 stone lighter.fat bastards can still rock-fuck my neck still hurts!!!!

Good to hear it!

Did you manage to get rid of your spare tickets in the end?

Dan: Sorry I missed you when I came over to the gig, but it was packed and I did not see you again... hope you got back to the train OK. There was a reason for making sure you knew where to go right from the start in case it got complicated! Hope you had a good time.

Alex.

Yea I made it back alright I figured it would be packed which is why I headed over there early but had a good time
