There is a Korean seller on ebay who is selling a "Korean Pressing" of the 2 disc version of TO WELCOME THE FADE.

Obviously, the END RECORDS owns the rights to the 2 disc version.

Do they have any KOREAN affiliates who have the rights to release their titles?

I haven't personally seen the To Welcome the Fade from Korea yet. But I do have the Korean version of The Pale Haunt Departure that the label sent me.

Yes, The End licenses our releases to other countries that are interested in selling our cds there. In Europe we're licensed through Candlelight. I don't recall what the exact arrangement is for Korea, but yes I do believe that the cd you saw for sale is indeed a legitimate release.

I don't think there's any major difference in the packaging between the Korean and U.S. versions, except maybe a sticker on the package that gives cd details in Korean. The only "variant" I know of right now, is that the Candlelight version of TPHD comes in a really nice slipcover version that we didn't get here in the States.

Oh, and going back a ways, the Pavement Records version of "The Knowing" that was released in Europe has a slightly different booklet layout, though it's been so long since I've seen it, I can't tell you specifically what the difference was.

I'll tell you... The cheap fucks that Pavement are, wouldn't print the booklet with as many pages or in color, so the inside is all just solid black with white print. All the photos and inside images are gone. It shouldn't surprise me, they couldn't even pay the tiny advance for it, and let's not forget, we've NEVER once seen a statement from them regarding sales.

i forgot to mention a couple weeks ago i picked up a copy of that Laceration 7" on ebay

 Yeah, I saw that on there too.
If it were a few years back and I was still a vinyl junkie I would have been all over it.

Yeah that was my first ND cd, the Pavement edition of the Knowing. The cool photo of the band with the... emm... my english sucks... lights ? Well that photo wasn't in the booklet, and the great slipcase with that nice cover by Travis Smith I guess and...

I bought the Dark Symphonies edition and sold the pavement one

I never knew there was a Pavement pressing of the KNOWING either.
I haven't been too impressed with the packaging of Pavement's stuff.

I think the END does a damn fine job, Dark Symphonies as well.

interrogation shows the suspect's story has inconsistencies that cannot be reconciled.

You went back through almost a years worth of postings on this forum to call me out for deciding now to purchase that 7"?

May I ask what the point of that was?

i'm bored at work.

it's all in fun, no worries. heck, i bought the same 7" as you can see from this thread.

and fwiw, i was merely looking for this thread to see if i mentioned how much i paid for it because i was too lazy to go look on my ebay acct. i did not remember you saying anything, i just happened upon it and went with it.

and we just finished watching season 2 of 24. nobody tell me what happens the next 614 seasons, we're just way behind.

no, no real effort. the search for laceration on here turns up surprisingly few threads.

Because he's Eric and he used to play guitar for us, and he can call out any motherfucker on this forum that he wants. He still has that privilege!

Recognize. :kickass:

Jack Bauer dies this season! HA!

Ok, I kid I kid.............. Or do I!

I do recall the old Chupe...
I guess I never put 2 and 2 together that the "NewChupe" was the same guy.

So let me ask you.....
Do you get to go to parties and say, "Hey baby, I used to pluck the strings in Novembers Doom... wanna party?"

No it was a character that Farley would do during an "editorial" segment on SNL News. It wasn't far removed from the Motivational Speaker "van down by the river" character though, really.

Face it Eric, we're just old. We remember shit noone cares about lol
