Comments on an album title?

So my band is pretty sure about this title by now, but I wanted to ask you guys for an honest opinion. We're going to name our album "Antistock"

Do you get what we mean by it, and do you think it's cool or lame or fucking stupid? So just what it makes you think.

Thanks guys. Yeah Jeff, that's it. I'm just worried it might make people think about stock markets or stocks in stores as we aren't sure how much the word "stock" is actually used for this meaning. So yeah, it's really about originality. This is also what the cover art will be about. It's kind of a concept for the album, but we're hoping people will find the music original as well so it would kinda work either way it's kinda obvious though yeah..

I dunno, it seems like you might as well just name it "original" and skip the pretense Seriously though, I'm not crazy about it, seems too literal and unimaginative for the epicness of your band's music (if this is the same band you posted a song by some months ago)

I don't like it, but I'm going to guess it's because you're from Finland and English isn't your first language... You probably don't speak or hear English as often as some of us, so you don't make the same connections with words and meanings.

To most native English speakers, I think it would sound somewhat boring and uncreative.

I think you could stick with the same idea and come up with something a little more interesting sounding.

Alright, thanks for the honesty guys! Hopefully we can work out a different title. I kinda liked it at first but having put it some thought now I don't really like it. Maybe after telling my bandmates about this thread we'll all agree to change it.

Yeah it really is hard! I mean, we spent like a month figuring out a name and this is actually the best one we could come up with. It's kind of an inside-joke at the same time, I think our music is worth more than that.

yea its kind of an arrogant thing to say that your music is orginal. because chances are.... its not. not to say its bad (i havent heard it so i dont mean to offend), but to say something is original is a really bold statement. its VERY VERY rare that i hear a band that is truly original. Ive probably heard 2 within the last couple years.

Yeah man, you're right. A name like that could fit for the cover it's going to have, but I'm pretty sure many would find it arrogant.

Also I'm sorry if I came off sounding like I really think my band is the shit of the decade, it's not like that - although I do think the songs are quite different from each other, some might think even too different... So I can't wait to hear what people will actually think about the music when the demo's out!

2. - (probably a two-part name)
3. Fourth Reich
4. The Marshal
5. Sinjected
6. -

We also still have to choose an album title. probably it will just be a name of one of the songs, but that's just the worst case scenario...
how about "Decreation Reich"
"Sinjected" sounds very cool imo..maybe "sinjection" or something like that?

possibly yeah, but we're thinking of something that doesn't directly point to a song title... And the cover art will be kind of a mess of everything that's wrong in this world, a single word for that purpose, that sounds cool as well, would be perfect I think
