Common vocal recording/mixing mistakes?

Vocalist moving around too much either approaching the mic or facing somewhere else between takes or even in the same take.

Room reflections.

Pitch and tightness.

Compressing too hard on the way in.

Compressing too light in the mix.

Too bright in the mix.

Too dark in the mix.

Not ridden enough.

Still not ridden enough.
 
Indeed.I don't think there are any THAT bad converters around these days to significantly affect anything.
There's some cheaper stuff out there that show aliasing especially in the highs pretty bad.
Too bright in the mix.
Against dark backgrounds or a dark track...
Can you tuck the vocals back a bit and make sure the snare is still up?. No .. maybe
