Concert DVDs

I used to buy more DVDs, but I realized that I never watched them more than once. Not a good value for me.

I have about 40 DVDs I think. When I only had 10 DVDs I would watch those fuckers all the time. I also didn't have internet then... Once I finally got my own computer I bought a ton of music DVDs, only I would never watch them very much anymore. Whatever, I still want to buy more, I'm just in the middle of a financial crisis right now & I can't even afford toilet paper these days, much less expensive concert DVDs...

All of Maiden's DVDs are fantastic, btw. The best thing to do is get Live After Death and The Early Days Pt 1 (three shows, bootlegs, and extensive interviews and a band bio that's worth watching).

October 11 (US) Opeth - The Roundhouse Tapes

I've been waiting forever for this! It's going to blow Lamentations away because of pre-Blackwater material and less Damnation songs.

Ok, so I got Arch Enemy: Tyrants Of The Rising Sun (Live In Japan), and I must say it's one of the most awesome live shows I have ever fucking seen, the energy is incredible.

Amon Amarth DVD - Heaps of footage (7hrs+) and awesome music. Quality is a bit lacking in some of the shows.
Iced Earth - Alive in Athens - One of the best live CD/DVDs ever, but could've done with some different camera angles and DVD options.

could have done with been decently edited. fuckin nuclear blast fucked the whole thing up, solos looking like they arnt being played etc.

Tonight is Night 2 of Amon Amarth's Bloodshed Over Bochum thingy. 4 nights, they play the first 4 albums all the way through followed by songs from the last couple. Early reports indicate that last night fucking owned hard. The band has announced that the concerts are being recorded in some form, and they've also made past statements saying they wouldn't want to do a live album, so it seems likely that this will find it's way onto DVD. Their previous DVD set was awesome and the DVD accompanying their latest album was also of the highest quality, so my expectations are high.

Too bad that it's not going to convert those pesky elitists.

So many good DVDs... These are my favourites:

Arch Enemy - Live Apocalypse & Tyrants of the Rising Sun
Nevermore - The Year of the Voyager
Death - Live in LA
Opeth - The Roundhouse Tapes
Porcupine Tree - Arrivine Somewhere...

But the one that I've watched by far the most is Arch Enemy's 'Live Apocalypse'. It's such a quality performance. I've saw them last year, and watching the DVDs makes me want to see them again.

can anyone recommend a Camel DVD, Im really interested in getting one.

Is Nevermore's The year of the Voyager worth getting?
