Cool guitars

This is one of the 6-string guitars used by the guitarist from the band I'm working with atm.

It's and Ibanez RG565 (reverse headstock) with an EMG-81 and for the un-informed that is a map of middle earth that has been burnt on to the guitar by a tattoo artist.

Not only does it look good but it plays/sounds amazing.

What are your favourite guitars that look AND sound great?

It was £500 of eBay, the guitar came with the custom finish. I've been quoted £250 by a tatoo artist friend for some similar work (not the same design, 'cos that's not the point of customisation!!).

I have this guitar... the ESP LTD MH400-NT. I swear, I have played tons of guitars--high end AND low end-- and this guitar blows 'em out of the water, IMHO. Thanks again goes to Shane for the reccomend

This guitar plays and sounds amazing.I've heard it sounds better (for lows) to replace the 81 in the bridge and put an 85. I've, however, kept the 81's and it sounds great. WELL WORTH THE $$$!

Wow, that Ibanez is awesome!! I am a total LOTR dork... I would definitely get that done to a guitar someday...

I am another proud owner of the LTD MH 400 NT (in fact, I recommended it to Jesse.) See the "85 in the bridge" thread, I posted my clips in there of this guitar. Great value for the money, I've recommended it to several friends who have all been very happy with their purchase.

Action can be adjusted on any guitar, but yes, these are set up nicely from the factory.

The LOTR Ibenhad looks sweet as hell!

I don't have a digital camera (lame, I know...), but here's my best looking guitar -

Mine actually looks a lot sweeter than that one.


I'm buying one of these in a couple of weeks -

This will be the best sounding guitar I have after I put the 81/85's in it.

J.... what's with the tape on the cab? Is that marking out the 'sweet spot" ??
