He was the main songwriter for Gardens of Grief, The Red in the Sky is Ours, and With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness. When the band chose to go in a more commercial direction and started shooting down his ideas, be boned the fuck out! But yeah, Alf is in my top 5 favorite musician/songwriters ever.
