Further to TRUIE's about matching edits in Cubase, I thought I would share this trick for Logic users.
I often use this if I have edited guitars and then decide later to reamp.
I will keep the edited tracks the "copy" the edits to the new ones.
This method relies on using no overlap so the new region will be cut at the boundaries when you copy the edited region onto it.
The video should be clear but here is the step by step process.
1. Select "no overlap"
2. Create new track and copy unedited region to it.
3. Copy the edited region onto the unedited region then delete.
This will leave only the bits that were edited out in the edited region.
4. move the bits from step 3 onto the copy of the unedited region and delete.

You are now left with the same edits on the new region as you had in the edited version.
Next step would be to apply fades to the newly edited regions in the inspector.
I am not sure if this process works with other DAWs. It relies on logic not selecting the blank areas between regions. (Pro Tools will select the space between regions when you select 2 regions with a gap between them)
Any questions or clarification, just ask.
