I don't necessarily agree that states having different rules means social distancing is badly explained, it means the level of severity in the state determines the level of severity on restrictions. Our beaches aren't closed here yet because we're not getting assrammed by Corona-chan to the same degree as elsewhere.

This in the span of two months. It would take a year to reach two percent if we continued the trajectory at the current pace, which is considered to be at or near the apex -i.e. the trajectory is not going to move forward this dismally. This is an exaggerated overreach of power and my biggest frustration is in not understanding what is happening behind closed doors throughout the world. Who is agreeing to this and why?

Wouldn't the numbers be a lot larger if nothing was done? It's a lose lose but I don't think you can argue that the low numbers equate to the restrictions being unjustified, on the contrary.

I think social distancing is a good idea. I dont think closing businesses where people hardly interact with one another is, at all. These are unprecedented measures for numbers which have been surpassed by other greater health concerns in the past. Honestly I think my rage has sapped my energy though I can't go on about this much longer already ranted on the phone for awhile. But this is bullshit guy. 100%.

It's easy to look at the numbers where the dead are just nameless words. Go and tell this same bullshit to anyone who have lost their loved ones by this pandemic.

It's also easy as fuck to simply come up with shit like "more people die in a year by ..." crap, when, for example, you are not a nurse in a urgency hospital treating infected patients, knowing that you might get it and your family can as well, when there is no cure and there is no real solid information about every way to prevent it.

When someone you know dies by Covid your world vision WILL change. Trust me.

Our social distancing rules suck because of the internet. The internet doesn't know state boundaries and there is way too many people online preaching the rules of one state as rules for the entire country.

No state here has been hit that dramatically by this bug because precautions were taken but to have the Federal government put rules in place then have certain states grandstand themselves over and above those, which is what the Vic Premier did makes a mockery of the rules in the first place. Then it's made worse when they start laxing those rules to fit occasions or when the media cry about unfair treatment.

So? Isolation means isolation; those at risk should simply have minimal contact period. There aren't that many things one needs to do outside of the house. A single large shopping run should last months for people that are competent to cook food.
