My issue with religious texts is the ambiguity. I think people should just figure out what they believe should be acceptable in their culture instead of referring back to an ancient book they don't even fully understand.

I was referring to American culture and not the worldwide culture. I should have explain clearly when discussing the subject.

I say athletes and players should individually pray to whoever on thier own time...it should never see the light of day in a group / lockeroom setting imo.

And it would appease and amuse me to once hear a player thank the lord jesus after said player for example strikes out with the bases loaded in a decisive game.
