also centered left page, at the left of the 'fault of the flesh' lyric
is that an arm sticking out of the water?(near the reflection of the sun in the water)

As far as I know DNB was a concept album about a man (WD or not) who loses his love, and goes down this road of emotions, couldn't tell you it it's an arm or not, but supposedly this love drowned, so it could be an arm, this is some of Travis Smiths' best work.

i think its abouts warrel girlfriend/fiancee who died.
i think its his fiancee because the wedding dress thing, also on the last page there is ahnd(girls or guys, doesn't matter) and its the left hand and on the ring finger there is what looks liek awedding band, so that supports engagement

I thought I read that she disappeared and he didn't know what happened to her. Maybe WD should clarify; it sounds like there have been lots of versions of the story floating around.

jimbohickville is correct.....from interviews I have read. And I don't think WD would be replying to that as I am sure DNB was a healing album for him and would like to put it behind him....he has stated she is dead...

well, warrel knew this chick, dont know how well though.

anyway, it was initially inspired by that, but he added some extra things, to make it a nevermore album.

i dont think it is his experience verbatim. he just took something that happened and spruced it up accordingly. at least i think that whats we said in an interview. check out DNB era interviews.

she went into a sect and left WD for she had found the 'light' and WD remained in the 'darkness'.

I've read on the Opeth forum she was found back a couple f weeks later drowned in Africa.

don't the pics in the booklet (centerpage) look like a tropical area?
like florida or maybe africa?

from what I've read...he just knows..can feel it, he was having repeated dreams and visions of her in water, in a lake....which explains the 'dreamtime water'....he knew he was having these repeated visions for a reason...

this is just what i recall from reading interviews, don't know how accurate it is
