cpu load question

okay so im working on this project in reaper and when i have free plugins turned on like lepous and onqels great plugins it chops audio like crazy while not hitting my cpu or ram very hard.

Relevent Specs:
AMD 8 core processor clocked at 4.1GHz
8 gigs of ram
cpu hitting 65% while chopping
ram is at 55 percent
64bit reaper


it handles the other 200 plugins fine but add 2 instances of free plugins and its chop city. could it be because lecab is 32bit?

Are you using them in stereo? I've found that they don't like stereo, try mono and duplicate the vst instead.

im consolidating right now but i would really like to get this working well for future use since im not at my hardware limit

Freeze all tracks with the 200 plugins on them.
Both LePou and TSE plugins take exactly as much of your CPU (and from my experience on a slower computer it is not very much) as they need to give you the very good sound you want.

I'm guessing you're on Windows 7..?
Do you have the AMD FX / Bulldozer / Zambezi..?
