All of that was done a good 10 years before by fusion guitarists. As well as by people like Uli Jon Roth etc etc etc. A.Judas Priest's guitarists were doing this already, before Randy. B I'vv heard the tribute album, he's still not a wanky guitarist. He can certainly play 32nds, as can everyone else at the tempo which he plays them.

Okay. Rusty Cooley is fast as hell but can't right worth a shit. Same goes for Batio. Yngwie is nuts, but goes over board with te solos, they take up like half a song. quit singin those guys praises. I want to say that Jari Maenpaa is Fucking phenominal, and that everyone who appreciates guitar should go listen to some Wintersun.
