i was watching the news and they said "there hasnt been a stingray related death in australia for years"...thats because some asshole wasnt poking them with sticks and kicking them.

You idiot. He didn't do what he did in order to piss animals off, and his conservation work here in Australia was amazing - not that I'm an environmentalist. But one thing about him that stands out is buying millions of dollars worth of land simply to prevent people developing it and destroying natural habitats of different animal species.
