Critical Interview with Scott (German)

You missed my point. The fact is that they DO know who's singing but are keeping it a secret (I understand the whole contract thing). But that is different than saying they don't know who's going to be singing, which they've been saying all along.

Saying "I don't know" avoids the question, and leads it to being asked again, because nobody buys that. Saying "We can't answer that question yet due to contract obligations" still avoids the question, but would have been better at shutting us up, because at least then we're getting an honest answer.

I think when Scott told that biased interviewer "We know who's singing but I'm not telling" he was being sarcastic because he wanted the biased interviewer to stop busting his balls.
Re-read the interview. Or at least this part:
Will he still be the singer after the tour?

Do you really think, I'll answer that? Hahaha! It's a secret till we know what we'll do.

You don't know who will be the vocalist?

No, We'll write new songs. After that, we will see who fits better to the songs.
Then the biased interviewer starts being a dick about the situation and says:
I don't believe you, that you don't know who'll sing!

Well, I know it. But we won't tell anyone!
Knowing Scott, he's being sarcastic to the biased interviewer.
BUT, if Anthrax had a crystal ball and knew exaclty what the future holds, they are still under contract.

The guy was not a journalist, he was a pissed off douche. Whatever. The interview was actually fun while it was happening. I was laughing at this guys questions. And yes, I was being a prick.
Seriously though, Buddy Love Bomb and ThraxDude are right on. Once we do make an "official" announcement, I will let all of you faithful know why we couldn't say anything. I promise.

See whne you say it like that, you sound like so much less of a douche. :)

Sounds good!

If the translation is correct then that was a great interview. Like Alex stated sometimes you have to ask the hard questions. I thought Scott did a pretty good job at answering those questions. Hopefully we'll see John and Joey together on the new album. The new one might be there best yet.

Anthrax don't need a singer. Frank (Paul S) and Scott (Gene $) can sing like they almost did in 1984. The only catch is that the whole set would consist of Protest and Survive, Dethroned emperor, Pieces and I'm the man.

Who had the idea to bring Bush AND Belladonna together on stage at the Reunion-Tour?

Joey and I.

Incisive answer. I'm not generally one for super analysing answers to interviews, but to be honest this is a great answer. It's super cool of Joey to think of the John era fans and try and ensure that they get their monies worth on any tour too.

Say what you like, but Joey is a very cool, down to earth guy who actually gives a shit about the fans.

I dig that.

Having read all the post-reunion Joey interviews, I find particularly this instant part VERY hard to believe.

Danke fürs Einscannen, Landsmann! Jetzt kann ich mir das Geld fürs Rock Hard sparen und es in Bier investieren!

Stupid journalist or not, still an interesting read. I'm just happy that there's something in the works with original material. Of course, I would prefer John Bush but I'm sure something Joey would rock hard too.

Worst case scnenario: Anthrax call it quits.

I seriously doubt that would happen. And even if it did, it would be interesting to see what projects they all venture in to.
