if i got some modulator, i could probaly take one of the guitar tracks and set them to an octave lower

not really digging it man. you go off beat alot.......and its really bland.

the song gets off beat for multiple reasons...

1. it has varying tempos so i couldn't listen to a metronome while recording

2. i couldnt listen to the guitar track while doing the vocals so i took 6 takes until i just got pissed and went with the best one

3. i couldn't listen to the 1st guitar track while doing the 2nd guitar track

4. it was my first attempt at using a drum machine

the main thing i wanted critiques on were the vocals. the music is under par from what i usually write

That was pretty good tbh. However, this is a critique from someone who never composed a metal song so... take it lightly =))

The vocals sounded good, as in, not the best death metal vocals I've ever heard, but quite decent for someone who's only been doing it for a year.

As for the drums, I actually like them, but I guess you could drop down to a slower beat in places where you change tempo as others suggested.
