I've known about this for a while but never really dove into it. I've been messing around with it in my spare time tonight and it seems like it could be a powerful tool.

what kind of awesome time saving, efficient things have you guys done with it?

I have not even scratched the surface of this but from what I've read from the manual and tweaking presets I've come up with key commands using the logical editor to shift selected tracks back by a 50 samples and then set a random value between 0 and -5 great for humanizing. I've done ones for kick snare and other things as well. There's also a cool preset that takes every downbeat and like increases the velocity. Plenty of stuff but the way the manual explains it, it's like a really crazy algebra problem and that is kind of hindering my ability to learn. If you have any questions about any of the ones I've already set up I'll tell you how to do it, though you're probably already more advanced at it than I.

yeah I hear you. I'm definitely not as far along as you are, cause I wouldn't be able to do that without tweaking one of the presets. I would love to see your midi humanization stuff, cause I hate programming drums so much.

I'm trying to work on one right now that will duplicate a track without duplicating the audio. I do that all the time and it's always more of a pain in the ass than it should be (although at this point in my cubase career I'm kind of like an olympic runner just trying to shave off fractions of a second from his run time lol) I don't know if its actually possible but I hope it is...

well I figured out how to make all tracks the same color with one key, which is kinda cool(especially when you have 20 tracks of drums and you want them all to be green...) but I fear duplication isn't possible :(

edit: figured it out but by just using the regular macros. DUH. why didn't i do this ages ago.

Haha I feel you on that dude, I've gotten to that point where I just want to streamline my workflow and I'm trying to find anything to do so.

Do you know where logical preset files are stored? cuz I'll just zip them and dropbox them too you and you can change them however you want.

And also rofl I didn't know that was you but yeah thats awesome me you and jeff will just keep bothering the fuck out of them they'll have to listen to us eventually.......;)

but yeah, that would be awesome and much appreciated! i don't know where they are stoed but i will find out

edit: that was easy, C:\program files(x86)\steinberg\cubase 5\presets\logical edit

do you guys think there would be a way to make something so that like...

ok, say I have drums midi from one project. say the crash is on A4 but I want it to be on F3.

could I "Select all A3" and "move to F3" somehow?
