Cubase trouble with groups and routing

I've got a problem in cubase which I cant figure out.. After i formatted my pc and reinstalled cubase, I can't route groups into other groups, only buses. However, the groups that I made in my projects from before the format, can be routed but not the new ones.... Can anyone make this out?

Which version of Cubase are you running?

Until version SX3, there are no such thing as buses in Cubase. You only have groups and fx-tracks (aux returns).

Cubase 4, I don't know.

I'm running SX3. However they are not of interest, I want to route groups to other groups(sidechaining etc).

In SX3 it's not possible to route a newer group to an older group, only the other way around.
Cubase 4 can do it, and has since 4.1 an easy sidechaining feature.
So you can use Cubase 4 or make new groups and copy the settings from the old gorups in there

I didn't think you could do that with Cubase (I don't know about 4, though).

I can't do it with Nuendo, AFAIK. I always just use sends from one group channel to other group channels if need be.
