One of my favorite albums of this year is "Pink Lemonade" by Closure In Moscow. I know it has nothing to do with metal or the majority of the music discussed here, but it's definitely prog and absolutely amazing. Has anyone checked?
I like all your picks edgeofthorns barring the Anette Olzon. That was sleep inducing for me! As for Darkest Era when I saw them live their best moments were when they went full on Celtic folk dark metal. This song is way too doomy for me. I'll be asleep before the end!
Yes. If you don't like this song, you likely won't like the album. That said, it's definitely a grower and one I think is worth the investment. That said, I know it's not for everyone.
