Well, I love your mix colleague

and vocals are super fine for me! :)

maybe a tad high on the strongest parts, but OK anyway IMO

ahh the ever reliable SM7B !!!!.... ...... it rocks all the way!

hey, would you mind sharing some details of the mix?

for example, the preset of Superior 2.0 sounds amazing! .. I wish you could share it: P

cheers dude, keep it up ;)

Thanks for listening and commenting!:headbang:

This is the first thing i have really tried to record my own vocals on. I love the SM7B though!

As for the drums, i used the avatar maple snare, a kick from the metal foundry, and the toms and cymbals were all 2.0. most of the processing is done in cubase though. Mainly just eq and compressing.

Hope this helps. Thanks again!

sure it will!!!!

thanks for sharing some tips mate!!!! :p

keep posting great things there!!.......talk ya

long live SM7B!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Cool. No problem! SM7B!!!!!:headbang:

Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare drum.

And the screamed vocals are also way too loud. Other than that sounds good.

Listening back i hear what you mean. I always have trouble balancing the snare to the mix because i want to make sure it cracks through!

Thanks for the comment!!!

the mix overall is pretty dark, I tried this and it became a lot closer to the deftones version, but the snare needs a lot more snap...

- Waves Q4, low shelf 215hz -6dB, hishelf 7khz +6dB, 175hz -5dB, 1khz -3dB
- Waves Rvox, Comp -13dB
- Waves C4, otherwise default except: crossovers 100 2000 11900, gains +4.9, 0, +5.5, +6.3, lomid bypassed

Thanks for the tips and posting another version! I hear what you mean by the mix being dark.

Thanks again everyone!
