Da Bears.....

I followed most of the game on the Internet - had a staff meeting today - but Seattle has nothing to be ashamed of. Both sides made a few mistakes, but Seattle definitely left it all on the field, and did their best. Tip of the hat to Grossman for stepping it up as well.

New Orleans - I'm of mixed feelings, 'cause I'd love to see them take it all after all they were through last year... but, then again, they're playing the Bears. I think I can honestly say I'll support whichever team wins next week.
 
I was pumped the whole game. I knew the game depended on which Grossman showed up. If the average Grossman showed up I thought we had a very good shot and if the first five games Grossman showed up, then I thought we'd crush 'em. He made a few mistakes including the fumble, but made three huge passing plays. So I'm ok with it. Now next weeks going to be tough. I was shocked by how bad the Bears defense was. Shaun ran through them like they were nothing. We still pulled it off so I was pumped. Right after Gould delivered the winning kick I had to go off to my grandmas funeral so yeah lol atleast I was pretty happy. Next week's going to be really tough and our defense really needs to step up and be the true Bears defense I know them to be. If the offense plays like the did today and the Bears defense steps up, then we should be able to win and take it on to the superbowl against the Patriots. (im calling that) Hopefully the Bears can beat 'em again;)

I gotta agree with you on this one, Tman - the Saints have proven themselves to be a very tough team this year. While I'm a native Chicagoan, I would not be heartbroken to see the Saints make it to the Super Bowl this year.

That said - if Grossman can continue to perform above par and not stink up Soldier Field on Sunday, and if the defense can repair the holes that Alexander punched through them, it might - stress that, might - be a nailbiter. I know I'll be glued to the television for the whole thing.

Don't forget the wild card the Bears have in Devin Hester - had it not been for a stupid penalty on Manning, the Bears just might have had this one locked up in regular time on Hester's return for a TD. But Hester's not perfect - he proved that a few times at the end of the season.

It's still a win able game for The Bears but their going to need a little help..
The "D" will have to play better than it did vs. The Shithawks..And a little cooperation from Mother Nature would help immensely!!! I mean what's the point of having homefield in Chicago if the weather is not horrible!! I think that's the dome team Saints biggest fear..... If it's dry and sunny The Saints will probably march all over them whereas a good snow or rainstorm, temps in the single digits definite advantage Bears...

That being said....My two Super Bowl representatives after this week are
Patriots and Saints

But anything can happen....

I must admit that I held my breath every time Rex threw the ball. I also left the room when Gould kicked the field goal.

My friend was at the game, and he said the crowd fell silent whenever Rex threw.

My biggest gripe with the game is why did Lovie have Rex throw passes at the end of the 4th quarter instead of having Benson/Thomas run the clock down? They're lucky that Hasselbeck didn't complete any bombs to put them in field goal range.
