Here's why it is crap:
It sounds like extremely generic melodic death (take Edge of Sanity around Purgatory Afterglow and then sap away all the creativity, good melodies, and cool parts and you'll be close) mixed with VERY loud and annoying 70s keyboards. That's why it is crap.

I'm sure there are samples somewhere that you can listen and determine this for yourself. One of the worst things you can do is ask other music listeners if something is any good because music opinions are so varied. You may like it, fine, you may not, fine... but at least do yourself a favor and go find out for yourself.

I second what biowaste said.
But to add to the pile, I'll say it's a great album... I really like it... it's just got alot of those memorable riffs and solos, and is a good mix between Prog rock and Melodic death.
