I personally never noticed he (Dave) left until I read it somewhere. As for metalheads being racist and "label crazy" not to mention short minded, eh, I think ya got your wires crossed bub. Those of us whom are affluent, semi-educated (sarcasticly speaking here), and upstanding citizens grew up past monikers and labels. Key word is grew up. I dont know of anyone that lables like that or is that close minded. Kids lable things. There are plenty of "goth" kids around that think you are stupid if you dont like Disturbed or some other stuff like that. THAT is funny. Most of these kids wouldnt know what to do if you shoved Anthrax, Testament, Overkill, or my new fave Hatebreed at them.

That was a long time ago and don't forget they came up with some weak MTV stuff afterward. Great lineup, but RIP isn't gonna happen again.

Luckily, there are PLENTY of bands you can support as an alternative, since you're not really getting the music you loved anymore. You don't have to wait around on a band that's not relevant TO YOU while you could be giving your business and some press to other bands that are keeping it true.

I love every Megadeth album and I can't wait to hear the new music when it comes out. I will support who ever Dave hires in the band, but I'd still like to see the players who were "Megadeth" to me back in the band.

I read that Mustaine wanted something to happen, but Ellefson bailed several tines and never gave an answer, so Mustaine moved on.

Regardless, the people that want Ellefson back are holding on to the glimmer of hope that they'll put something like PSBWB or Rust in Peace together. These are the same people that are holding out hope for Metallica and listen to the hype they leak every time they record another album that "The new album will be a return to their roots".

Instead of pulling for bands from the past doing something of substance now, give some press and interest to bands that have been creative consistent, but have not gotten the notariety. I was tired waiting around for more of the same old shit and bands I liked going commercial, so I just searched out new bands that deserved my $$$.

I once was one of those people. But after Youthanasia (an alright album) I understood that this was the way they were going down and I stopped being nostalgic and found other favourite bands.

I think it's ok. There are some great songs like Insomnia, Prince of Darkness and Ecstacy. I fucking hate the production! I wonder how good Crush 'Em could have been if it was played in a heavy way...
