Chuck's lyrics are very inspirational, esp. the "newer" ones. I think the lyrics on ITP ("Destiny") and Symbolic ("Perennial Quest") are the best.

Really love his views, thoughts, and emotions. Empty Words and Story to Tell contain my favorite lyrics probably but I loved them all.

i love the lyrics on Story to Tell... and the fact that it was on the last Death CD to be recorded is very spooky
It is hard to say... I like all the lyrics to everything from Spiritual Healing and after when he switched from the horrorshow lyrics to something that we know and respect as Death to this day.
It's not like I didn't like the "horror show" lyrics, as you call them... Looking at Lyrics like Pull The Plug... they may be less abstract, but I'm not the biggest fan of abstract, strange constructs of lyrics anyway.
