Damn... even on my shitty laptop speakers, there's a big difference in the GH3 mix of The Day That Never Comes. (Do I hear reverb tails?!) The drums definitely have more punch to them- ironically enough- and the whole thing seems to have more depth.
Through my Sennheiser phones or my Polk Audio hi-fi speakers the proper CD version sounds... well, not so good. I honestly prefer it as mp3s through my iPod with cheap earbuds. It masks the clipping.
I'm very curious about hearing the whole thing like this. It sounds a lot better this way...
