The cover sucks. However, I am glad they went back to the original Metallica logo. Makes me think we may get an album that sort of sounds like Metallica.

They should have spent the $100 and went with the guy we did for an album cover. Looks like Lars was bored with photo shop one day and made it.

Hopefully the album is decent. I heard them on that new maiden tribute and it was mediocre. Musically it was decent but Hetfield still sounds like a country singer and the production sucked.

The Kerrang one? Yeah they didn't made much of it isn't it, even Avenged Sevenfold did better. I like Black Tide and Dream Theater covers, and some others are worthy. I don't know if the album is going for sale or only with the mag, if not I can always rip a CD.

Metallica haven't had a good cover in their career. (same goes for Ryche). Puppets was okay, as was Ride. Other than that? all crap.

Not to change the subject Wyvern. While we are chatting bands that have 'METAL' in thier name, any Metalium fans here? They are old school power metal and they seem to have all the ingredients for a great metal band. Yet, somehow I have not yet caught onto them, maybe I haven't found the right release?

No problem, changing lanes is common in the UMOS highway I haven't pay attention to Metalium because they came out at the time 99% of German bands coming out were playing power metal and I was avoiding overkilling the sub-genre. Maybe someday I will go back to them.

I disagree somehow. I like the first four albums, being RTL my favorite. "Garage Inc." had some good covers like 'Turn The Page', 'Die, Die My Darling', 'Last Caress/Green Hell', the Mercyful Fate medley, the rest are pretty much average or weak.

I understand. They may be worth going back, and have a listen. Though, they seem to be stuck in thier genre and sounds like they haven't done much to improve or expand...atleast thats what thier mp's are telling me.

If this album sounds even close to The Black album it's a step in the right direction in my book. At least that album had some good riffs in there...I doubt that they'll ever recapture the Ride/Puppets/And Justice glory...
