I think the cover is alright. Not bad, not good... The cover and the album name does mean more after one has heard the explenation behind it though. However I just hope the music will be good.

This is actually not a bad cover. Also they went back to the old logo. This is probably their best cover since the black album, even AJFA IMHO. And I'm willing to bet the GDP of an african nation that this is going to rock. and if it does, I bet you all the nay-sayers here will change their tune about the cover.

Besides, Metallica was never all that with any of their album covers. Ride The Lightning's was probably the best.

They defenatly had worse covers than this one (Load, Reload & St Anger)
Plus they'll have to try really hard if they want to bring out an album that sucks more than St Anger.
Also they're back to the old logo, which is cool.
In a nutshell, things can only get better.

It's almost like the quality of their music is directly correlated to the quality of the album cover.

I guess I'm odd man out. I like this cover. I'm not expecting anything musically from them though. I've despised everything they've done from the Black album on.(except Garage Inc.)

Like Zep said at least they went back to the orignal Metallica logo. Maybe thats what the problem was. Think about it orignal Logo album=good , no logo album=suck.

Cover looks great but to me they are gang of lawyers not musicians.
Now after all these years they want old fans back 'cause Metal is trend again...No thank you,there are plenty of METAL bands out there which are far way better then Metallica.

Talk about lame covers what the hell is this...something out of DIO..and yet the songs on this album are one of the best Metallica songs of all-time

Or an album, that's very true. Many hate "Hanging In The Balance" cover and it's one of the best Metal Church albums. The problem here is that we are dealing with Metallica the kings of dissapointment, so most people has poor illusions regarding that the material inside the cover will worth something. Again hope unlike hair is the last thing you loose.

I was way over 30 when I bought an album because of it's back cover, Goddess Of Desire "Symbol Of Triumph". It has two hot babes claded in S&M clothes :Smokin:, the bestpart is that not only I like the album I become a fan of the band and got all the others (and their covers are pretty cheesy).

This might actually be a good release.
If it does turn out to be shit though, atleast they managed to live up to my expectations.
Not really looking forward to it...most prolly I'll DL and check it out first.

I'll at least give it a chance, the album I mean. Yes, James will probably not sound to great (hasn't since the early albums - singing I mean), but they could still pull something good off. I'm pretty sure it will have a few good tunes, and a bunch of average ones. Ah well. You never know though.

Everyone also has to remember James is not young, and everyone could forget him sounding anyway close to "Kill'Em All"
