Hey guys,

Here is a band I am working on.
I already started that mix few weeks ago on another song. I have a lot of difficulties to nail the sound. I am aiming for an AudioHammer vibe.

First difficulty is their sweet 5150 tones. I can't get any close to that at the moment with the Axe-Fx. And honestly for high-gain stuff, most of the amps sounds almost the same to me.

Now loudness and excessive limiting is also fucking with me. And my new studio is full of bass traps but i still hear standing waves and reflections...

I could use some ears. Here it is :

If you're going for an AudioHammer vibe, you're gona want to-

Reduce the volume of the kick drum, the rest of the drums are good, and also, as a whole, the mix needs a bit more of a scoop to it, to get that Suecof sound

The guitars tonewise are pretty far off of Suecof's sort of tone...you might want to play with a few different, amp sims etc....although, in my opinion, the guitars sound really nice, just not like Suecof-ish

Drums sound really programmed. Bass could have more low-end, the whole mix is a bit lacking. Everything else sounds nice ;)

thanks for listening Erik.
i moved the speakers in my room, now my bass response is a bit better.
i fixed a bit the low-end : http://brainworksstudios.com/mp3/March1.3.mp3
