Been working on a demo for a folk metalband called Poppy Proudneck.

It was my 2nd project I ever recorded, in my little bedroom, .. So, would like some comments on the mix, still have looooots to learn :)

Drums: EZ Superior 2.0 / The snare I used is a Steven Slate (Snare 1A / Z3 / Medium 1 I think)

Guitars: Axe-FX
(Very happy about the rythm tone, but the lead could be a lot better. Anyway, it wasn't performed very tight too ...)

The folk instruments and vocals were all recorded with an ElectroVoice RE-20 mic.

Hope you dig the tune!

Cheers

And the banjo sounds great, but honestly, I can barely hear the rhythm guitars; they're incredibly low and seem very muffled, though that could just be from the low level. Honestly, all I hear is like the slightest amount of fuzz from them that indicates they're even there. Drums aren't bad, though the snare could use more air IMO, and the kick DEFINITELY needs more attack IMO. Also, a bit more delay on the lead would do well to cover up the only somewhat tight playing. Ooh, and the vox feel very dry, and could use some tuning in spots ;)
