I thought that Animosity was a huge step down from Empires, tbh.

just got All Shall Perish - Awaken the Dreamers and i fuckin love it.

it has a lot of melodic and/or technical moments, some clean vocals, and even a mellow song. but when it gets heavy it gets fuckin heavy! with chunky riffs, nice deep growls (no suicide silence faggoty vox here) and of course ball-busting breakdowns.

Doom is a great album.
If you like Deathcore and haven't heard it yet, go do that now. One of the best Deathcore albums in existence, imo.

Genesis, though is pretty average. There are a few good tracks, but the lead singer just went completely one dimensional after being really diverse on Doom, and the riffs are just really linear and uninteresting.

I really don't like anything else they've ever done, but JFAC's newest track is pretty damn good.

Goddamn, I can't believe I forgot War From A Harlot's Mouth. One of the only talented deathcore bands remaining.
I recommend downloading Transmetropolitan, or their new one In Shoals, which isn't bad either. The former is better, though.

Minus the Herd is pretty much horrible, it can't compare to ...Breathing Is Irrelevant and Solace. Namely the latter, though.

I find Solace way too math/stop-start/all over the shop, and I'm usually pretty into that style. They chilled out a tad with Minus The Herd and I like it much more.

I would still never label Ion Dissonance as a deathcore band, though. Maybe now, but on their earlier material they were more chaotic hardcore/mathcore I guess.
And yeah, Solace being all over the place is what makes it amazing for me. It's an album based on Crime and Punishment, so you can expect it to be chaotic haha.

Regardless of the title (even then, Butcher the Weak > Decimate the Weak) it's just bad.

Lots of brutal death metal not from the US is broken or butchered English at best anyway... "Filled my Stomach with a Pregnant's Corpse"
