Be still, O wand'rer!
To be honest, I just haven't listened to it enough to truthfully place it on that list. I've probably only heard it 6 or 7 times, and it will definitely grab your attention from the first listen. But it is something that will also take lots of listens to fully grasp. I just couldn't put it on my list with so little understanding of it. There are usually a handful of albums like that for me every year. However, a few years down the road they are the ones I still listen to. Another album like that for me this year was Boris 'Pink' . . . and Antaeus 'Blood Libel'.

I'm just going to buy it. The article in Decibel was excellent, and I love the fact that they've grown out of the whole corpse paint bullshit. The fact that they're inspired by bands like Joy Division have me thinking there's something of unique value here. The samples at The End are good too, good enough to have me buy semi-blind.
