That looks like a very obvious Terrorizer top 10 (and I don't mean that in a negative way):

1. Celtic Frost - Monotheist - AWESOME
2. Enslaved - Ruun - JUST NOT INTO IT, MAYBE I'LL TRY AGAIN
3. Killing Joke - Hosannas from the Basements of Hel; - WHAT?
4. Negura Bunget - Om - AWESOME
5. Deicide - The Stench of Redemption - SURPRISINGLY GOOD
6. Iron Maiden - A Matter of Live and Death - BUT OF COURSE, IT'S TERRORIZER
7. Jesu - Silver - NEVER HEARD IT
8. Melechesh - Emissaries - AWESOME
9. Converge - No Heroes - NEVER HEARD IT
10. Mastodon - Blood Mountain - GOT A COPY, YET TO HEAR

I agree with 3 of those, which 'aint bad considering I'm just not a Terrorizer type of guy, and I'm really impressed with the Deicide release although I wouldn't put it in my top 10

I did. I can't say I fully get it yet, but I dig the experimentation... I also think it's much heavier than Panopticon, they got the power back.

I like the new Isis. Not as well as either of the last 2, but it's still one of my favorite from last year.

This is a pretty strong list, which I'd expect. I have several of their highest rated albums on my list, and a few more which I moved to honorable mention status, just based on the fact that my list was becoming over run by less metal stuff--Jesu, Killing Joke, etc.
Btw, JK: I'm a big Killing Joke fan--I tried to push this album here when it came out. Here's a review of it if you want some info:
MetalReview.com - Metal Review of Killing Joke - Hosannas From the Basements of Hell

I actually would have given that album a little higher rating. It flat out smokes.

Let me know if you ever want to try a few KJ tracks.

You folks really haven't heard Killing Joke? Shame!

That said, I've never heard Killing Joke. But I think their album covers are cool, and that's a big step.

So did anyone on here like the new Isis?

I did, sure it's basically more of the same but when taken on its own I think it's still a quality album, though I agree that it lacks some of the power of previous releases (though their dynamics are as sharp as ever most of the way through) and sometimes threatens to wander off too much. As for the list, nice to see Negura getting some long overdue recognition outside of RC...

NB at #4 is an amazing feat ... look at the classic bands around them ...

We need to get these fuckers to the US

I don't know what happened with Agalloch. Terrorizer had a great review of them, calling them "the underground's best kept secret" . . . or something like that. They also had a good interview with them.
