+1 on the HB only cause you are overseas. I like the Avatars more but shipping would put you over budget. I have an Avatar 2x12 with 30s that i LOVE. Used mesa or orange 2x12 would be a way to go to
If you can't get a good tone with any 2/4x12 cab with V30's, there's a problem with the engineer, not the cab. The Harley Bentons are a good example, many users, many great tones.
True, just picked up a Marshall 425 - a greenback loaded 4X12 for 200 euro in pretty good condition. You see the 1960's going for around 200-350 euro pretty commonly around here(Ireland)

There are more to a cab sound then the speakers. The quality of the cab itself is of great importance. At least as much as the speakers you use if not even more important...
Well that statement is wrong. It is a good rehearsal cab but for recording it wont do. I have both a Engl Pro cab, Mesa Rectifier 2x12 and a Harley Benton. And the HB sucks in comparison. It is boxy and therefore not that good for recordings.
