Depeche Mode without a doubt. Never been interested in The Cure that much. I do like a few songs though. I have to agree that they are both great bands but DM has all my votes. I really like them, one of my favourite bands.

Correct if i'm wrong Anders, but wasn't pornography by The Cure a big influence on Discouraged Ones? it is not as great as Disintegration but goddamn i love that album, bleak perfection...

i think there is no album in depeche discography that is so great and consistent as disintegration is (violator perhaps?).. plain song and lullaby ftw!
