DevilDriver

I know people here have heard DevilDriver, but I doubt that the majority have even heard the new album. I know some here haven't, like genocide roach. He just assumes DevilDriver is still crap based on the first album alone.
I'm sure their are others besides genocide roach that totally dismiss bands just because of one album, without giving other albums a chance. I think we are one of the few here that admit to liking Devildriver.

well genocide roach likes Dragonforce, pretty much the pot calling the kettle black if you ask me.

I admit to liking Trivium, but just Ascendancy. Embers to Inferno is alright, but I can go without it.

Trivium....*shudders*

I actually really like Devildriver. It's leaps and bounds ahead of Coal Chamber (which is, unfortunately, a guilty pleasure of mine...), and "The Last Kind Words" is by far their best work yet. Their first album is mediocre, at best, but what'd you expect? Dez was just getting back on his feet after the Coal Chamber fiasco that happened, and was branching out to something he'd never done before.

For the record, "The Last Kind Words" is the album that got them into the metal archives...and I thought they didn't allow metalcore in there...though their first album was definitely mallcore.
