Diablo III

Saw the commercial for it today and the graphics looked pretty cool, I prefer games with the option for multi-player, though. Unfortunately, I don't even have a gaming system or a computer fit for gaming...

Not sure if you're thinking about the same game. Multiplayer is just about the only option Diablo 3 gives you. It's constantly connected, enabling you to play 4-player co-op.

Yes, the server issues have been crippling. For lord-knows what reason we've set up our toons on the 'Americas' realm, so we've copped the huge influx of players and downtime. Oddly, we get similar ping from the Asia server, so it makes things kind of awkward for us English-speaking dudes in the pacific. As with Diablo 2, 12 years ago, we still don't seem to belong on any of the realms. Pain in the arse.

I can imagine the guys who just want to play in single player are quite pissed off at the moment.

Oh crap, I am thinking of another game. Honestly, the only PC games I've played were Ragnarok, JFK Reloaded, some of the Sim games, and Knights of the Old Republic. :Spin:

Is it worth picking up Ermz? Or is it what I'm expecting it to be? Cheers disappointment in terms of character leveling and skill customization. Can you actually melee without activating that stupid "advanced" mode or whatever it is? Is it pure item based? Infinite skills and you choose which ones you want whenever?

yesterday my woman called me and said she left her purse in my car. She came over and I met her outside and I saw her bag wasn't in my car. She then hands me a gift bag with Diablo III in it.

I love her

Been pretty busy with work these days but I almost got to lvl 50 (Barbarian) this morning and I absolutely love the game so far, which is a huge relief, since there were so many concerns. I'd say the skill system is great, once you start getting actual choices instead of 1 just possibility per hotkey.

Cinematics are stunning and so is level design past the beta content. I can write a very long post about everything I like in the game but I prefer to just log in now instead so if you'll excuse me... see you in battle net ;)

So you actually have to enable "elective mode" on preferences to be able to have a choice? ... : /

Oh the tragedy! Wtf man just play the game or don't :D I can wholeheartedly say that my only disappointment so far is the server-related issues that have occurred every now and then. The game is awesome, imho!

lvl 52 barb, my friend lvl 53 monk. very well equiped. hell is pretty easy so far..

Very surprised to hear that. Most of the lvl 55-56 4-player parties I've been a part of have struggled so badly in hell that it's felt essentially broken.

As soon as you run into any champions or uniques, they are so buffed up with game-breaking abilities that the entire party gets slaughtered a dozen times before you have a chance of depleting their HP.

My favourite are the guys who wall you (spawn a wall IN you, so you can't move at all), stasis you (double inability to move) and then harpoon you toward them, so there is no chance in hell of survival... so to speak.

Im playing the starters edition at the moment(Demon Hunter.), so far im loving it.
Im honestly thinking about moving, just to get a stable internet connection for this game.

Honestly I'd say that my (Barbarian) single most dreaded combination is arcane+vampiric+whatever
Those revolving purple turds equal death in 0.1 seconds, especially if there are 2 nearby. That said, there are a bunch of other combinations that annihilate every hero that's of ever so slightly lower level then he should be when he's facing the ubers.

Anyway lvl 57 and still having a lot of fun. Can't wait to see how RMAH would turn out. So far the gold AH is a source of ridiculously cheap awesome items and the gems are sold for less than the crafting fee needed to combine 3 of an inferior kind...crazy stuff.

At 58 now, I seriously think Hell is not harder than Nightmare, other than the champ packs having 1 more ability. but then again i'm playing a demon hunter, so i just spam smoke screen and pump out the hatred.

Well...started this morging... 11 hours later: done. Quite disappointed atm... seems veeery casual compared to d2. Waaay to easy IMO...well..lets see what nightmare is like... ( Barbarian ... yeah..died like....never. wtf. )

Personally I thought normal and nightmare were pretty easy in Diablo 2 aswell. The bosses in D3 aren't really a challenge, that's for sure. I find champion packs and elite monsters to be the actual challenge.
