Dialing in an amp

Any tips on how you dial in an amp for metal? You always have good tones on your metal records.

It all depends on what sound/approach we're going for. Every project is different, because everyone plays differently, and their fingers sound different. To be honest, I very seldom do the same thing twice, because every project is different.
