Even the first song? Well some songs have a jazzy feel to them, while some sound totally different? I was wondering if he played on all of the songs...

Eric Peterson plays lead on 2 different songs, if my memory serves me right. But Alex did the rest.
Do you know who played the solo in the first song? Doesn't sound like Alex at all..

Eric plays the second solo in Burnt Offerings, the second solo in Reign of Terror, and the 2nd and 4th solo "themes" in Over the Wall. All the rest are done by Skolnick...so the solo in question WAS Skolnick.

from wat i know.... alex recorded on the new album... i am not sure whether he played the rhythms also... and i heard that alex wasn't comfortable play solo with a lower tuning, that's why he transpose all the solos and play with standard 440 tuning while the rhythm is played in a lower tuning... incredible! that is wat chuck said in an interview.....
