Hey folks, Im considering buying an all tube head sometime in the near future, but i'm not goin to spend 2000$ on a mesa boogie. I've looked around at the prices and the peavey 5150's are in a decent price range for an all tube amp and i've heard some good things about them. I'm looking to get a good metal crunch and a nice, well rounded lead tone. Can anybody tell me the difference between the two if there is a difference? Can anybody recommend moderately priced amps for the kind of sound i'm looking for? I'd go play one myself but i live in a small town and we don't have any guitar centers around here. appreciate any info, thnx.
