Difference between Pod xt and pod xt live?

How much of a different tone are you able to get out of the XT and the XT Pro, just wondering.

Theres no difference, although the rack mount one, xt pro, has got digital outs on it, but thats about it.

Also the XT Live comes with the FX pack already installed.

The Pro-version's got a direct signal out (reamping or live-usage combined with a real amp). The digital ins are really important, because if you use better ADs the whole thing will sound much better.

EDIT: Ooops, I just noticed, that you are asking for XT and XT Live (not for Pro). The inputs and algorithms (and therefore the tone) are the same. It's just the floorboard, the pedal and the FX-pack.

The XT Live gives you a pad switch, this is really useful if you are using active pickups and find you are overdriving the input.
